Many years ago Ansorg made a proactive commitment to safeguard the environment for existing and future generations and to use limited resources sparingly.
Compliance with environmental legislation and the necessary continuous improvement of environmental performance are not perceived as tiresome obligations at Ansorg. Rather, they are central to our business purpose.
EcoVadis – business sustainability ratings
EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Since it was founded in 2007 it has created a global network of more than 100,000 rated companies.
Ansorg’s silver medal puts it among the top 25% of rated companies.

The certification of our company, our products, our contributions to building certification and our commitments reflect our undertaking to be a sustainable business.
Product certifications
Ansorg endeavours to use only low-pollutant input materials for its products and to make its production processes as environmentally friendly as possible. We use recycled materials at the beginning of the life cycle and ensure that our luminaires can be recycled at the end.
Ansorg also checks the standards that apply to each luminaire and the product certificates that are necessary, practical and appropriate for their use.
We have Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for the following products:

Company certifications
Ansorg first obtained ISO 14001 (EMS) certification at the end of the 1990s. Since then our certifications have increased in line with our objectives and technical progress, and we undergo regular external audits.

Building certifications
We plan sustainable lighting concepts according to known energy specifications and with maximum efficiencies and, as a result, our lighting solutions make a positive contribution to environmental certifications such as DGNB, BREEAM or LEED.
The main aim of every design is to achieve the best quality of light with optimised energy input and in accordance with the customer’s objectives.

We don’t just focus on sustainability certifications. Beyond that, we have established company-wide guidelines for sustainable conduct in the form of our sustainability principles.
